On Thursday 18th February we saw a different type of demonstration at the Halifax Art Society. Mary Loney, Head of Art at Todmorden College and known in Calderdale for her excellent teaching, came to give positive, constructive criticism of work by members of the Society. Mary was very pleased at the standard of the art and offered several tips to our members. She suggested where elements may be toned down or where a tiny amount of white added to a window pane could make a significant difference, working on a larger scale and using a sketch book. |
