Halifax Art Society

Established in 1875, the society provides a meeting place for artists around Halifax to share ideas and techniques with each other. 

We meet most Thursday evenings at Oddfellows Hall in Coleridge Street; and alternate between demonstrations by guest artists and practical working sessions.  Guests are welcome to join us for our demonstration evenings but practical sessions are for members only.  Please visit the links on the left to find out more.  For a map, see 'Find Us'.

In the autumn and spring we also have working sessions on alternate Friday afternoons.  More information is provided on 'Art in the Afternoon' via the navigation pane.
